ATH Timber Products are “Formaldehyde Free”. Formaldehyde is an odorous and colorless gas commonly employed in the production of building materials and household items. It is used in pressed-wood products like particleboard, fiberboard, plywood and in permanent-pressed fabrics, etc.
It’s important to note that formaldehyde exposure can lead to skin, eye, nose, and throat irritation. In more severe cases, prolonged high-level exposure has been linked to certain types of cancer.
In addition to our commitment to product safety, we offer a valuable service : free warehousing facilities for your wood products while you await the completion of your project (subject to our terms and conditions). Your timber will be carefully stored and it will be fully covered by insurance, ensuring it remains in pristine condition until you’re ready to utilize it for your project.

At ATH Timber Products, all our timber products undergo a meticulous drying process. For indoor use timber, our raw materials are subjected to both air-drying and kiln-drying procedures.
Kiln drying process is automated, utilizing controlled environments within Kiln Drying Chambers, where heat and air flow are carefully regulated to eliminate moisture content. Specific kiln schedules are applied, tailored to the dimensions and wood species involved.
Properly dried timber offers numerous advantages, including enhanced dimensional stability and has lower tendency of issues such as shrinkage, cracking, and distortion. It results in wood that is not only lighter but also stronger, smoother, and free from fungi and mold. Additionally, well-dried timber is more receptive to coatings or varnishing materials, providing better protection and significantly increasing its durability.
