ELEPHANT CONSERVATION
In the development and advancement process of a nation, it is unavoidable that the clearing of forest for farming, plantation, industrial and housing development will create confrontation between wild elephants and the people. Kuala Gandah Elephants Conservation Center, or referred to as the Elephant Orphanage Sanctuary, was set up in 1989 under the Department of Wildlife & National Park, Malaysia, manned by the Elephant Capture and Translocation Unit, to continue protection and translocation of wild elephants.
Being a socially responsible organization, ATH volunteer to donate timber materials as when required by the center for expansion and renovation needs, timber for usage such as decking, benches, signage, fencing and so on.
To increase the awareness on the importance of conservation, we started an initiative within our organisation by organizing a day trip for our staff to visit the center.
